A news item that took its time getting here....
Phil Tipping and Will Manners took part in this years Jack Crawford Springburn Cup in Bishopbriggs on 13th January. The route starts in a housing estate near to the Leisure Centre and takes you through the streets before leading to the untarmac-ed canal towpath which is the defining feature of the race. The route then takes you 4km or so up one side of the canal and then 4km back on the other side to the finish.
Phil and Will had a few challenges in finding Bishopbriggs Leisure Centre and arrived with almost no time to prepare. Despite this and the very muddy conditions underfoot both set excellent times with Will setting a new P.B. of 37.21 in 35th place (out of 295) and Phil finishing in 38.50 in 50th place.
